Orange Almond Chai Balls
1 cup almond butter
1/2 cup raw liquid honey
1/2 cup hemp seeds
1/2 cup almonds, finely chopped
1/4 cup chocolate protein powder
1/4 cup flax seeds
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup dates, finely chopped
1/4 cup dry unsweetened coconut (extra 1/2 cup for dusting)
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp ginger powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground cardamom seeds
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
zest of an orange, finely chopped
In a medium sized bowl, add almond butter and stir for a smooth consistency. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Chill for 15-20 minutes. Roll into balls slightly smaller than walnuts. Place remaining coconut in a small bowl. Dust balls with coconut to garnish.
Store in an airtight container in fridge.
Makes ~40 balls
4 balls= 150 calories, 14g carbohydrate, 9g protein, 4g fiber, 9g fat
