Hi Adam
I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how great the workout is with you at our Saturday morning sessions. Each of us on the team (Knot A Breast) comes to your gym on Saturday morning with our varying degrees of motivation. As you know, some days are easier than others! You always seem able to drive us to do our best. There is nothing like a workout that you can still feel the results of 2 days later. So thanks for being the driving force for us on Saturday morning. It is wonderful to feel greater strength and flexibility following each session.
Thanks!

I had never boxed before

Adam,
I would like to thank you for being my boxing coach. When I first joined, I had never boxed before. Although the workout seemed intense at the beginning, you made me feel very comfortable and allowed me to start at my own pace. I feel that class is very productive with you as a coach. Working with you helped me pinpoint my weak spots because you take the time to show individual attention to every person in the class. I am in the best shape I have ever been in and appreciate what you have done for me.
Thank you,
Carly Donn
Not a stranger to exercise

Personable, friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and persistent are only some of the words that I would use to describe Adam. Working out with Adam toward achieving my physical fitness goals has been very rewarding. I am not a stranger to exercise. I have tried kickboxing classes, gym memberships, running groups, home videos as well as expensive gym equipment. Although the above experiences were positive they were lacking something that I needed. What I needed was someone to encourage me to push my limits. Adam is the driving force behind the Cross Fit classes that have allowed me to gain not only strength and endurance but also knowledge about meal planning and overall health. Once you start to work out with Adam you will not want to stop. I really look forward to his classes and you will too!

A three-per-week addict

Two words immediately spring to mind when I think of Adam Morden: fun and fitness.
You might think that the word fitness would come to mind first, with his qualifications as a trainer and coach, and his knowledge of nutrition, but it is truly his sense of fun that makes him the perfect instructor in my eyes.
I have known Adam for the past year and a half as my Crossfit Trainer, and in that time it has been his infectious sense of fun that has transformed me from a once-a-month gym user into a three-per-week addict. Adam is always ready with a joke and a smile. Every session promises to be full of laughter.
The classes are creative and unique every time I step through the door, and his encouragement and cajoling have kept me enthusiastic, when routine exercise would have burned me out in a few short months. Every class feels as though it is going to be an adventure. You go in knowing that it’s going to be hard work, but there’s a smile on your face while you’re doing it. I’m always wondering “What’s Adam got me doing this time?”
His dedication to fitness, both in himself and in others is obvious. He is constantly helping me to hone my technique, finding alternative exercises if I’m injured, and daring me to push myself harder than I would ever be able to alone.
Our gym has a feeling of community to it, and it is a direct result of Adam being there, every time we walk into the gym.

After having taught cardio fitness classes for several years, I came to CrossFit looking for a change: I needed something motivating and challenging to take me to my optimal fitness level.
Coach Adam Morden has certainly provided me with that! Over the last two months, Adam has introduced me to a fitness program that challenges me in ways my cardio classes never could. I have learned safe techniques in a positive environment that pushes me to perform. Adam motivates to do my best and provides positive and helpful feedback during and after the workout. I look forward to each class knowing that it will be new and different, but just as challenging as the last one, where I can work to improve each week.
I have also attended one of Adam’s nutrition seminars. I now understand how important a proper diet is when it comes to achieving fitness goals. Adam’s seminar gave me excellent information on how to eat well in order to improve my overall fitness goals. As a vegetarian, I have often struggled to eat properly, or find good advice, but his course took this into consideration and I was able to modify my eating habits for the better easily.
For anyone who is serious about their health and fitness, I highly recommend Adam Morden as a coach. I have already recruited a couple of friends who would agree!
sincerely,
Hilary M

I have been participating in CrossFit classes since the beginning of January. The results I’ve seen in just the first month and a half have been unbelievable! I am both mentally and physically stronger thanks to all the encouragement and guidance of head trainer, Adam Morden. He is fantastic in providing proper instruction and training techniques, and really can identify with people on an individual basis. Almost every single workout has been scaled to my ability due to a tear in my collar bone. Thanks to Adam, I’m ready to tackle any W.O.D! Thank you once again for all the advice you’ve given, and for all you do to help people achieve success – It’s really made a difference in my life!

My name is Janet. I am a 47 year old who has been enjoying Adam Morden and his CrossFit classes for almost 2 years now! I am also fortunate that Adam was able to do some training with my teenage son Jayden. Following are the reasons I love Adam and CrossFit:
Adam is one of the most enthusiastic fun people I have ever met. His enthusiasm is contagious and I find CrossFit really enjoyable. Even though it is a very challenging workout I love going.Adam is extremely knowledgeable. My son Jayden has some health issues that may effect his heart. When Adam trained Jayden I felt comfortable knowing that Adam knew how to keep exercise safe for Jayden. What he didn’t know he researched. He goes above and beyond expectations. Jayden looked forward to working out with Adam. His goal was to improve his football skills and speed. Adam put him through all the appropriate exercises to prepare Jayden for a very successful season.
I have learnt so much in the last 2 years! I am very interested in fitness and Adam is full of information that he shares with his clients. He truly cares about his clients I have seen so many gains for the individuals who attend CrossFit. Adam celebrates each person and their gains. He pushes everyone to reach their personnel best whatever that may be. He knows what each individual’s limits are. My body is constantly being challenged There is no plateau in CrossFit.
With lots of encouragement after about a year and a bit I was able to do a pull-up. I really did not think this possible. I did 50 (not in a row) the other day. Sore but what an accomplishment!
Thanks to Adam and CrossFit I feel good both mentally and physically. I feel energetic and able to keep up activity with my teenage sons. We recently attended a water park in Ohio and it was fun doing the board surfing water slides etc. with the boys I noticed a lot of other adults lounging while their children played missing out on the fun! When I went water skiing for the first weekend of the Summer I wasn’t even sore! Even as a teen I was sore. I look forward to trying surfing in Australia something I wouldn’t attempt if I did not feel fit. It feels really good to be able to bound up the stairs, lift heavy objects move furniture etc. knowing that I am fit to do so. It has kept me healthy and happy. Going to a CrossFit class with Adam is like having a personal trainer. He has eyes in the back of his head. He picks up on flaws in form and if you are going to be working hard you might as well be doing it right. It would be hard not to like Adam. It is apparent that he loves his job and is always upbeat. I didn’t know Adam when I started cross-fit but now consider him a friend. I can’t say enough good things about him.

It works now, and will in the future

When I began Crossfit I was apprehensive – my fitness level was at an all time low, and I was concerned that I might aggravate past injuries. Despite being a member of a variety of gyms over the years, I had never achieved noticeable physical results. Instead, I often found gym workouts to be monotonous, and had injured myself during workouts due to repetition or poor form. By contrast, I have found the Crossfit workouts to be challenging, varied, and adaptable to my fitness level. The Crossfit workouts challenge me far beyond anything that I could accomplish on my own. During each workout, Coach Adam instructs, motivates, and ensures that proper form is maintained in order to avoid injury. I’m not the youngest, the strongest, or the fittest in the class, but that doesn’t matter as the workouts are flexible enough to allow me to push myself to new levels, while working at my own pace. The result for me has been increased strength, endurance, and significant weight loss!! At this stage in my life maintaining good health is a priority, so I’m thrilled to have found a fitness program that not only works for me now, but will continue to work for me in the future.

During my first work out with Adam I was introduced to a muscle I never knew even existed… The “Everything Muscle”. It was then that I realized a whole new world of training was out there and that Adam would help take me too the next level in developing my over all level of fitness.
Over the past year and a half I have trained with Adam one-on-one as well as in a group environment. In this time I have come to appreciate his level of knowledge in many different aspects of training, and his contagious sense of overwhelming enthusiasm… sometimes I think Adam is more excited then I am when I reach a personal best.
It doesn’t matter what your level of fitness is currently at, Adam has the ability to encourage, drive, and develop anyone that steps into a work out with him. All I know is that the pre-workout feeling of anticipation and excitement is oddly offset by a feeling of fear; and like a drug it keeps bringing me back for more.
Working out with you has been a pleasure Adam, and with your continued help and encouragement the one-arm pull-up and planche pushup will be mastered… After that it’s the flag buddy.
See ya in the gym

A level of fitness I have never experienced before…

I met Adam Morden in June of 2007 when my community ladies fitness class decided to try a CrossFit class. That was the first day of the rest of my new ‘fitness’ life. He met us with an enthusiasm that made me enjoy the workout even though it was brutally hard. I can still remember him encouraging my friend and neighbour Wendy, who had never truly done a full sit-up in years, saying over and over ‘you can do it’, and she did.
Adam is synonymous with INTENSITY. Each one of his workouts is different from the last and they all leave you feeling exhausted! But he is much more than a slave driver, he is an excellent teacher. Even when he is working with a large class, he provides individual attention to each participant to help them correct their form during an exercise to prevent injury and to motivate them to work harder.
Adam is very personable and exhibits an incredible amount of patience when working with new clients, and when teaching new exercises to us ‘oldies’. No matter how much we may complain, Adam always cracks that big smile, laughs, tells us a story and drives us on! He cheers for us, acknowledges our effort at the end of a workout and celebrates with us when we reach a new goal. He takes pride in the successes of all his clients.
Adam is sensitive to peoples needs. I have been working with a shoulder injury and Adam has helped me modify workouts by giving alternative exercises to keep up the intensity but reduce the impact on my shoulder. His ability to individualize a fitness program in this manner is beneficial to all his clients and encourages us to keep striving without fear, even when we are in the process of healing.
Adam has a wealth of experience and expertise and uses them effectively when planning his workouts, running his classes and giving fitness and nutritional advice. When Adam demonstrates an exercise, he is thorough and makes it look easy enough to convince us to try it and carefully spots us to ensure we are doing it properly. He gives feedback in a positive supportive manner making even the most self conscious clients feel comfortable.
The fundamental lessons Adam has taught me have made it possible for me to achieve a level of fitness I have never experienced before. His support has helped me tremendously with technique and served as a great source of motivation. I consider myself extremely fortunate for having Adam as a coach to guide me and make me challenge myself to do things I never thought I could do (like boxing =) ).
Thanks Adam,
Lauri Turner
