How it works:
Here’s a simple summary of how the contest will go:
Contest starts March 21st, 2011.
Alchemy CrossFit will provide you with an 8 week meal plan including recipes and grocery lists (Your choice of Paleo – designed by Denise Magnini or Whole Foods vegetarian – easily converted to non-vegetarian – By Adam Morden) FREE for members and 80% off for non-members ($20).
You will take before and after pictures and measurements as well as write a blurb about what changing your nutrition has done for you.
You will get ongoing support both over email and in person at Alchemy CrossFit.
Alchemy CrossFit will award 5 GRAND PRIZES worth thousands of dollars $$$ as well as other prizes along the way!
Winners will be chosen by ballot at the end of the contest.
You will get a ballot for submitting your before/after pics, measurements, and letter, and following the meal plan for the 8 weeks. Additional ballots will be available for being more involved with the process – reviewing the recipes, submitting alternative recipes, supporting the community, etc. Each additional ballot increases your chance to win!

The Plans:
Paleo:
The Paleo approach is that the human body has not evolved to handle foods introduced in the last few thousand years and that we are best served by following a diet that our hunter/gatherer ancestors would have eaten. A diet of meats, vegetables, some fruit, nuts and seeds with no dairy, grains, beans, or processed sugars.
Whole Foods:
The whole foods approach is simple. Eat real food, made from real ingredients, cooked fresh with the minimum of processing. Pretty much anything that you could grow or raise on your own is allowed on this program, while
